Born Hunter 18,031
What's the sense in going for mayor in one of the pro EU, pro immigration, modern liberal hotbeds of the UK? It's bold and would be a significant victory but seems set up to fail to me.
Jonjon79 13,360
It's a nice idea and, I'd like to see him there for a while but, it'll never happen - the best we can hope for is that he causes a little disruption while he's running for it. Perhaps he'll expose some of the voting irregularities that we've heard about. He might have had a better chance a couple of years ago when people wanted some disruption to the status quo - I just don't think the public have the stomach for it now. If he goes for it, I wish him luck but, he'll be up against huge voting fraud from places like Tower Hamlets in an attempt to keep him out.

I think the role would be more likely to taint his image rather than boost it. Crack on but good luck. It looks like lose, lose from where I'm sat.

I guess the position is a prominent pedestal in politics. I just think it's all futile. I can only think he sees London as the battleground for what he is fighting against as it's the heartland of the opposition. In addition the current mayor is possibly at his weakest right now with his public spats against Trump and Brexit. IE he has quite possible motivated the nationalist minority that Nigel would be looking to mobilise.

I can only agree. I understand it's function but it appears purely symbolic. 2 minutes ago, Born Hunter said: I can only think he sees London as the battleground for what he is fighting against as it's the heartland of the opposition. At this stage of the game, I can only see it being an embarrassment as the existing parties would love to see him wiped out at the ballot. If he wants to make a serious comeback he needs to pick somewhere he can win, unless his strategy is to resign again.

Born Hunter 18,031
Frankly, he's probably at his best away from public office, drumming up the grass roots with maximum exposure in the public's eye. 1

Lenmcharristar 10,550
hopefully he gets to be mayor, he should work along side tommy robinson exposing how rotten and fraudulent our voting system is and the corrupt pedo politicians, reinstates the death penalty and has public execution day starting with tony blair, then that skinny see through dieing looking ba$tard corbyn and his fat hippo sidekick, abbot. 1
