Rivers not to bad round here but the lakes are suffering.

Low water levels, weed and algae growth, not to mention the heat!

Are you experiencing the same issues, any magical work rounds?

After all the wet weather in spring the water table round here seems fine lakes barely dropped and chew valley res still has loads of water and is at normal levels for the time of year,the fishing on the brecons was a bit harder with levels down a couple of weeks back when I was there

My pond is about 2ft lower than normal and the stream that feeds it has turned to dust. I cobbled together some extension leads and put a pump in there for a few days just to turn the water over and the fish seem to be doing fine so far.

Spent 2hrs last  week in the river up to my balls dragging weed out of my swim with a rake on some rope....... Been hard work trying to land fish this season with the amount of weeds and low water levels. Might go this evening when wife gets back from work, we had some rain last night and today, put some oxygen in the water at least

Iv got myself all set up to catch my first barbel from the ribble and the river has been on its arse from the opening day.

Haven’t touched the rivers this season but still wrinkled out a few fish from reservoir and salt....
