Apache... 2,585
I'm sure the first pic is a red squirrel the next one could be a pine marten and the third is a hare, all these were within 50 yards from each other on the road behind my place. Quote Link to post

It's hard to tell from pictuses when there's nothing there to compare to scale. Interesting none the less. 1 Quote Link to post
wilbur foxhound 480
Only a cat or a fox walking will leave prints in a straight line, looking at the distance apart I would have said fox, pine marten prints are just the same as a stoat, weasel or mink,wf Edited March 4, 2018 by wilbur foxhound Spelling error Quote Link to post
Apache... 2,585
Finally seen the culprit that made the tracks, I didn't think it was a fox because of the distance between each print was too far apart, but I was wrong I woke at 3 this morning to the dogs kicking off and went into the kitchen and kept the light off and shone a torch out and there was a huge fox there, I shit myself and thought it was a dog at first, anyway he was a beast and now I know!!! foxdropper 17,092
Fox is never a straight line .One front foot never aligns with the other three . Quote Link to post

SNAP-SHOT 138
Fox is definitely a straight line of footings. A hare throws one of four legs to the side as described. 1 Quote Link to post
EDDIE B 3,120
Here's a couple of easy ones for ye. Think second one has an overlapping print, so don't let that throw you off. Edited March 22, 2018 by EDDIE B Quote Link to post

Ptd87 304
Is the first one a mink and second a water vole ? a guess could well be an otter I've never seen one 1 Quote Link to post
SNAP-SHOT 138
I would say first is a stoat/ mink and second is an otter 1 Quote Link to post
