Does the drippings falling out of the pheasant oil the meat slicer. I've never had that with corn beef ???. Old school set up is the way it should be.

Yes , They were excellent , back in the 50s  we always went  Yarmouth and Mam always sent some home , there was a lot of shops that done it and it cost  12 and six 0ld money  62 .5 pence  a dozen  Posted First Class. Love Bloaters we had them steamed , can you still  get Red Herrings ? i have not had those since i was a kid

Thats the method known as jugging, as recommended by the two fat ladies, and your right it is good.
