Samantha Francis, 42, from St Ives, started a petition calling on Woodditton Parish Council to bring a halt to the "unnecessary and cruel" event which sees dozens of sheep being chased round a 70m grass track with stuffed teddy bear 'jockeys' on their backs. So, what's it got to with her? ...... Like Red said - nothing better to dedicate their time to. It's sad really. theirs literally thousands of things she could be campaigning for and making a real difference to in this world . Instead she petitions to stop sheep racing in a small Welsh town. This year they also had pig racing down here which is part of the town's "events" during the year. My kids took part in it few years ago shooing and enticing the pigs to keep racing. My boy loved it . Obviously she doesn't like the pigs. Probably because they dont look cuddly.
