Sheep Racing

A vegan animal rights advocate says she is "over the moon" following the success of a campaign to scrap this year's annual Woodditton Sheep Run.

Samantha Francis, 42, from St Ives, started a petition calling on Woodditton Parish Council to bring a halt to the "unnecessary and cruel" event which sees dozens of sheep being chased round a 70m grass track with stuffed teddy bear 'jockeys' on their backs.

So, what's it got to with her?

...... I wonder how many signatures on her petition came from local people that will actually be at the event :hmm:

Just to piss her off, I'd replace with a few rounds of Buzkashi (look it up ;))

That same woman has done it to 3 different places. Surely better things to dedicate your time to

On twitter some vegan/anti/twat has said, "how would you like it? Why don't you put a person on a farm workers back and see if he enjoys it!" WTF!

More shame on those that gave in to it

They do

This is a picture from a wife carrying race in Surrey. The winner went to the championship in Finland

i really dont think its to do with animals there such sados they are just out to spoil anybodys enjoyment

Spot on.

Like Red said - nothing better to dedicate their time to.

It's sad really.

theirs literally thousands of things she could be campaigning for and making a real difference to in this world . Instead she petitions to stop sheep racing in a small Welsh town. This year they also had pig racing down here which is part of the town's "events" during the year. My kids took part in it few years ago shooing and enticing the pigs to keep racing. My boy loved it . Obviously she doesn't like the pigs. Probably because they dont look cuddly. Edited by Welsh_red
