neems 2,406
IMO you done right thing just hope it was well clean before any antibiotics prescribed seems harsh pts He means a general anaesthetic. There'd be no point in stitching up a dead dog would there? Quote Link to post

squab 2,875
Staples....I bought a bitch off one the fb sites first outing had put dozen stitches in her chest, two week later 2nd time out another lot, that would been serious vet bill for a bitch on its way to a pet home Quote Link to post
poxon 5,555
Exactly what you've done mate then I'd invest in a vetanary staple gun for future insidences that may happen 1 Quote Link to post
Aussie Whip 3,850
That vet sounds a bit rich. One of mine got tore both inside back legs, knocked out and stitched for $250.The running dogs are a bit different to the old pig dogs hey.Wounds usually pulled back together themselves or stapled in the field, hate to do that to the little whip crosses. Hey mate how ya been? Hows Tilly doing? Not good unfortunately I don't think she is ever going to fully recover as no matter how much time I give her off after working her she limps all the next day and obviously to me that no good so a let home is on the cards for her ......
