You really are a townie twat ........

My thoughts and prayers are with you mate ,,it has ruined my day and shook me up a bit reading g about your misfortune ,I hope you make a full recovery with no psychological scars after this ordeal go

That's the kind of support and encouragement he needs ! (And probably what he expected from us !)

I cant remember now if Scaphoids and Carpals are the same thing but ive done loads of bones in that region over the years had them screwed and all sorts let me tell you now its none too pleasant years later in cold weather when the old arthritis starts to set in to them joints you wont even be able to hold dominoes let alone play with them......you,ll be safer in the gym i reckon ;)

What do you mean had them screwed?

My hands are smashed to bits, only got a couple of metacarpals left that are the same shape as they're meant to be,I keep meaning to go and get them seen but apparently they just re-break them.

They call it " rigid fixation "......if its a displaced fracture they normally screw it to line it back up....i think its 8 different carpal bones we have....the scaphoid, lunate, capitate are a few others i forget their names now ive had quite a few surgeries,a couple of times to remove floating bone fragments where like you say my hands were literally smashed.... the surgery techniques hand surgeons can perform today are unbelievable though compared to years ago.....like most things i suppose.
