What's not same. You get two decent working dogs that click. You put the time in bringing the pups on. Hopefully you'll get something decent.  Then you'll get that coat back in the breeding. The coat in the breeding will have come from a Norfolk type lurcher back in the day in the breeding of fettle.

Whatever it was it must have been a strong gene to keep popping up

Fettle was merlin and eve bred were the coat is from mate id say they have traits not the fastest but good killers that  can run on proper when needed 

As opposed to.say the merlin eve that throw the fast dogs up down the box classy running style box them up brain unbelievable mad footwork

Fingers crossed there will be a few that are specimens like that killing hares  from 8 month old im back with a radged bitch to.take a pup.off alot like the dam to that pup that come off a half bred bitch i had called Ellie slayed fox hit them.and kill.them at times  put holes in hedgerows sounded like a car crash killed everything but the strong hares didnt have 4-5 muns in her

There was a few of that type about wasn't there, the good early dogs like Fred and Fly then Seagull, Nipper, Toby, Reefer etc

I remember the lads up at Lynemouth site having a big Wooly dog and a litter of pups in the late 90s  I don't know which dog that was now, must have been the early stuff that was up around Ashington area, then Sankey brought that line into his stock, same sort of time Fettle was up here as a youngster
