Secret's in the name "show". Dogs mite arrive being, workers, racers or pets, but once they step into a ring there a show dog. It's only supposed to be a bit of craic and at the end of it all it's just one man's opinion. Cheers

Well every dog that was picked in the terrier ring were showing signs of work I'm not saying they all worked because you would only no that if you say them in the field. I couldn't have faulted the judge the terrier that won the over all he had my eye caught all day

for a first time show it was top class even down to gifts for the judges at the end,top quality overall prizes for the classes.cracking location this was only my second time in that part of the country and the drive up was great.good selection of fit lurchers and the terriers were off a high standard.common sense was applied in the lurcher ring with two different lurcher judges for dogs and bitches.and the picking of the overall show was out of the lurcher and terrier judges hands when an expericened by stander was asked to pick the overall winner now their is fairness.enjoyed every thing about the day location weather and met a few old friends.well done on a first time show.

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
