I love the smaller garden birds , spend a fair few quid feeding them in the Autumn / winter , I always have a special treat for the Robin in my garden he loves a few bits of mince .

I'm the same. Spend a fortune on black sunflower and I get allsorts of small birds. Last year the winter siskins stayed on to breed and then brought their young round for it.
I had a female black cap last winter , always seemed to be with the robin , spoke to a friend who's switched on & apparently Thats there trait , though not seen it this winter .
