This is far from the safe Tory seat that you might be led to believe !   Lib Dems held the seat from 1979 to 2010, with a majority of 3,000 to 5,000. Goldsmith initially won the seat in 2010, in a b

The Lib Dems now say that they will block the invokation of Article 50, unless it has a clause allowing a second referendum on the finished deal with the EU....

....but, there is a fatal flaw in their masterplan.

The rest of the EU don't want us to leave, so what's to stop them offering us the crappiest deal they can cobble together, safe in the knowledge that the British electorate would vote not to accept it - meaning we would remain within the EU, on our current terms ?

The EU will be sure to make our lives as hard as possible anyway for daring to leave. If somehow we didn't leave after all, they'd do the same to make sure other countries weren't tempted to think for themselves.

Best option is let the EU act like spoilt kids, and not give them billions for the privilege.

By the way, when I voted leave, I don't recall voting to leave at sometime in the future possibly. f**k the EU and f**k article 50.

Big referendum in Italy, while not a vote about the EU people will use it to show their displeasure at their government which will fall if people vote no.

The EU is a walking corpse, I think there is zero chance it can survive.

Since June, I've never grasped why there is a debate about whether we should accept free movement, should we stay in the single market ? The customs union ? The economic area ? Should we recognise the European court

Why is there any debate about accepting any of the membership conditions of an organisation that we don't want to belong to ?

WE VOTED TO LEAVE !!

The sooner we get our ar5e in gear and get on with it, the better.....and the sooner the treacherous doom-mongers will shut up !

(In the meantime, I'm hoping to bump into my Lib Dem councillor very soon !)

Don't forget the election in Austria tomorrow, where the 'far right' are in a very strong position ! Hofer has promised a referendum on them leaving the EU, if he wins.

Fingers crossed.........

During the last election mine tried to win the argument with me and I made her look really stupid. She said "we've voted to give you a referendum" to which I replied no you didn't you all abstained lol

She tried the old UKIP is racist and ever other trick under the sun and in the end actually said "Well you've had your say" and left...She lost her seat not long after ha ha ha

It's actually a rerun because the Greens used fraudulent postal votes to cheat...not something the BBC like to mention
