tsteve9999 456
Do rabbits with this RHD sit above ground the same as mixyd ones? A place my dogs were putting 3 or 4 up every time we went a few months ago has been barren for weeks now, but if mixy was the cause I'd have expected them to have a few as it took hold. johnrthrfrd 223
ive put in some mileage on foot today, on land that once was thriving with bunnies, saw 2 bunnies tops, rhd comes to mind having the other day my bitch pulled out a dead un from the hedgerows, i could find bugger all wrong we it, what with myxi and general predation, im a bit pissed off , specialy with having a pup to bring on, the reason i got the pup, is cos of heavy rabbit population in my part of the world, ferrets arent getting the work i got em for, im doing my best put summat in front of my bitch, but if theres nowt theer eh, i will plod on, theres some woods i go in occasionally, theres some in there, but its really overgrown, hard going, my legs are in a mess with the nettles n brambles, and Nell, has torn her lughole, but im on top of that, railway bankings , there they fester, but its risky, train comes along, spots you, next min railway police are on the job, had a run in we em last year Same around here iww there's next to nowt about hard work to find a rabbit to give the bitch a run. Bobtheferret 1,278
My limited understanding of RHD is that the rabbits show little or no sign of illness or disease in the rabbit and that they will just die often within 24hrs of getting sick. They often die in their sleep underground so would explain why they appear to have just disappeared. Unfortunately it's very contagious and can wipe a population out. Let's just hope rabbits can do what they do best and repopulate quickly! Atb 1 Quote Link to post
