Born Hunter 17,955
Well my village did the annual reenactment of the f***ing Blitz on Saturday night! What is it with working class areas having to launch more ordinance into the sky in 3 hours than Syria has seen in 3 years? Every square foot of garden and yard on Sunday morning had the remnants of a rocket of some sort! Pretty sure I could have put a 250 slab through the auto in the garden and no one would have heard it never mind been bothered! LOL
Haiddheliwr 1,911
There was one I was trying to think of the name of. It was pinky/red plastic rectangle, taller at one end than the other with a row of holes along the thin edge that fired tiny rockets. i think you were supposed to nail it to something but we used to fire them hand-held. damned if i can think of the name. bracken boy 584
I'm so glad I hated fireworks as a kid, the most stupidest think ever celebrated, in my view of course.
tsteve9999 456
It was sign you were "hard" when I was a kid to hold a banger and stick your hand in the canal till it went off. You could hardly move your fingers for ages after you'd tried that.
DIDO.1 22,864
We lived on the edge of a council estate yet my dad always let me take the 12 bore in the garden and have a couple of shots...2 on bonfire night and 2 on new year's eve
gnipper 6,837
When i was about 6 my gran bought me a little box of indoor fireworks. Well.she said they were. Little miniture things that we lit on a saucer. Can remeber a strange black thing that once lit started growing like a worm lol. They still do them, i was looking at them on eBay a couple of days ago because I was telling my missus and kids about them. I'm pretty sure it's the same box my mum bought for us nearly 30 years ago too.
