sussex 5,803
Well you learn something new every day - I always thought of Muntjac as timid hiders. Cornered they will give it there all , which can be a big all ...and see what two bucks can do to each other ..
Jonjon79 13,358
Well you learn something new every day - I always thought of Muntjac as timid hiders. Cornered they will give it there all , which can be a big all ...and see what two bucks can do to each other .. I was walking along an overgrown disused road one night at about 1am. Me and a friend had rifles and nv. A Muntjac barked in the copse about 2mtrs away from us. My mate nearly shat himself, I fell about laughing. I'll be a bit more wary next time. We see them quite often when we're out.
beast 1,884
nope, munty bucks are nasty pieces of work, if caught or cornered they come up fighting and the damage needs to be seen to be believed. they also have skin like an old leather boot, very difficult for a dog to kill at times. i have even known munties to turn in cover and come back to have a go at a dog even though they could have run. also once came across a hand reared munty buck which was incredibly dangerous, couple of people got quite badly hurt until i dealt with the problem....
