Haiddheliwr 1,911
God just watched this harrowing programme! I have watched numerous programmes since this disaster and they never fail to leave me crying my eyes out! Couldn't believe it is the 50th anniversary since this tragedy. To the teachers, locals and the little angels stay safe in God's care and Rest in peace! You will never ever be forgotten!

Tiercel 6,986
I remember it happening, we were in school and the head teacher called us in early from playtime, gathered us all in the main hall and told us. I can still remember him crying as he told us. In the dark welsh valley,On the mountain side,Lay the little childrenClose to where they died.Their little lives are endedBefore they reach their goal,Tender little childrenHave paid the price of coal. Haiddheliwr 1,911
Thank you for that mate, i managed to listen to the end but with tears dripping on my t-shirt. I think everyone should at some stage in their lives visit the cemetery in Aberfan, not out of morbid curiosity but to appreciate what this small community endured on that horrendous day in October 1966.
