lanesra 3,961 Posted October 12, 2016 Report Share Posted October 12, 2016 In all seriousness how many of us have actually been properly "Starving" not many Id say , lots of us on here came up on council estates with not a lot but it done us no harm not having much in fact it gave most the drive to succeed , not always massively but improve our lives from our parents , each generation has it better than the previous but does it Instill the values we had i.e. appreciating things the kids today take for granted . 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Spot on. We're not what I'd call well-off but, our daughter doesn't know the kind of hardships that me and the missus did when we were growing up. And that's just the way I like it.
