Had a belting day, 134 birds between 8 guns and it was the best I've ever shot. I got the best bag on the last drive. Just couldn't miss them. Some real high birds too. Plenty of good food and drink afterwards. And brought home some belting cheeses made on the farm. To top it off the keeper has said I can go up for a day running my lurchers before the beaters go on with the guns at the end of the season. So happy days.Out first thing this morning with my little girl and the busher did its job. Dog in, rabbit out. Silly bugger headed straight for the open field where my brindle bitch did her thing and made sure he went in the game bag.Home gutted the rabbit and now got a sausage sandwich on its way courtesy of the missus.Shame I'm working tonight else it could of been a carslberg weekend. Wasn't me mate I only went up with the air rifle a couple of times, most of the time it was with the lurcher and rarely took more than 4-5 rabbits It was always a bit barren up there around Goosnargh aside from foxes. I couldn't keep her above ground so give her a shot with him.
