Bumped into a old mate other day and we got talking on working terriers and in particular Mr wards strain .we got talking about when we visited his kennels in County Durham and I purchased a cracking little blood red bitch. We got to wondering if any modern day terrier lads still have this strain going that they breed.my mate had a few dogs from gary Middleton at the time these strains were lookers and workers at the time .always wondered what happened to graham ward heard he got out of the game all together? .

He's been out of the game for donkeys years done untold damage to working lakelands, he told me years ago he'd be lucky if 1 in 20 of his pups worked to a decent standard

Lives not far from me graham. Heard some right tales of "the old brigade" as they were called. Cracking stamp of lakey Mr ward kept. Heard they were very handy tools
