Jonjon79 13,360
There were 6 of these on my permission today. They would have presented a very east target - I was able to walk within 6ft of them. But, I wasn't 100% sure if they were legal quarry so, I let them be. I'd say they're white doves. Perhaps just a collard dove with a different pigment. They didn't have any rings on their legs. Any advice/opinions appreciated Quote Link to post

lurchers 3,001
They will be garden fantails probably owned by the farmer or followed ferals in.if they aren't the farmers trap them and sell them to somebody who will put them in a dovecote in there garden.atb 2 Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,360
I was close enough for a good look and, I couldn't see any other markings at all, not even a faint yellow collar - they were pure white, shaped like a feral. Ah well, I'll leave them. There's plenty more quarry to go for down there. Anyway, taking something that easy would just be target practice - it wouldn't feel very sporting. Quote Link to post
