Albert my mate that hunts with me and has done for a long time week in week out went to Ballynahinch with his wife and young kids, he enjoys almost any family day out extra bonus if it's centred aroun

I think a lot of dog men are thinking the same chum and just haven't the balls to say it, Albert I would say the support of real hunting lads is slipping away from you chum,,,

Albert does the £50 still stand ? You said earlier that if the general could prove you on a lie you would donate £50 . Well I can definitely call you on a lie " you said that the general left a post s

Above is based on truth and not rumour, constructive questioning based on personal experience. I can't see any posts saying a great day was had by all apart from YOU, the organiser. Not biased at all are you lol. Talk about blowing your own trumpet. Feel free to reply to the constructive discussion and try your best to leave the name calling out of it.

Final comment to you as YOU WERE NOT at Ballynahinch and as I said I support the concept of Moate ,many other terrier & lurcher events, clay pigeon shoots, gundog tests and trials etc. etc. I have not made any claims or posts about Ballynahinch but others have on https://www.(!64.56:886/groups/172092726163876/ and many other facebook pages. When they are available we will put up the video made for us by Image Media Films; and two independent bits of coverage by NVTV and irishtv.ie. Then people , like you, WHO WERE NOT THERE can make up their own mind more objectively than on the back of second hand comments and rumour.

We tried something a little different for terriers, lurchers, whippets & ferrets at Ballynahinch including meeting a suggestion that ALL T&L events should be run on one day. Unfortunately that day proved to have the worst weather I have ever experienced at a Game Fair and T&L enthusiasts, clay shooters and gundog handlers were soaked and of course in such weather many attractions had to be cancelled as eg falcons can't fly in poor weather.

However everyone just got on with it and most people enjoyed the day to varying degrees. Sunday was a different matter altogether in that the day was sunny except for a sharp shower or two , the crowds rolled in and it was a happy family day. The ONLY comment I had made to date. to the press, is that it was a qualified success. I base this on the fact that had we had two days like Sunday it would have been a great success , had we had two days like Saturday it could have been a bit of a disaster but such is the risk in running outdoor events.

Everyone who enters the fair gets a free programme which includes a self complete questionnaire . With over 400 of these returned the overall impression is that most people had a great day out. No one was anywhere near as critical as you General BUT THEN YOU WERE NOT ACTUALLY there - your criticism is second or third hand - or as I would simply describe as 'tittle tattle'. I prefer to guage public reaction from the views of people WHO ACTUALLY ATTENDED THE EVENT.

Aye thanks for that link I see there's over 5000 members, just like my local butchers on fb. I also noticed you or an admin will post on the page and you're lucky to get a dozen likes let alone comments on the majority of threads and it's mostly the same people over and over again doing the commenting lol.

Edited to add, pretty much the same on here no posts no likes very little comments if none.

You see where I'm going with this ?

Good job your obviously a popular guy. Good luck

Albert does the £50 still stand ? You said earlier that if the general could prove you on a lie you would donate £50 . Well I can definitely call you on a lie " you said that the general left a post saying " I hope it snows in birr " well that is a blatant lie . The reason I'm so sure it's a lie is because it was me left that post and not the general. It's a very true saying you need to have a good memory to be a liar , caught out big time . If the post hadn't been deleted it would be there for all to see

Black Buck you having the same issues of posts being deleted also. Very strange that I thought it was only me. I pointed that out to Albert but he has choosen to ignored that along with everything else. Oh and thanks for clearing that up. I'll await my apology for blaming me in the wrong and he can apologise for calling me an anti while he's at it. Or he could find himself having one extra person at his fair one day and we'll see if he's as quick to insult me face to face.

Big difference between a LIE and a MISTAKE. Funny how the General did not point this out. However if it was you that said it then £50 is going to the IWTF. However its really nothing to be proud of wishing discomfort on your fellow countrysports people. This is the sort of thing antis would wish for - to do damage to the largest expression of support for countrysports in Ireland.

But at least some good has come out of a vicious nasty post - the IWTF will be £50 better off.

The General, I am always willing to apologise if I am in the wrong and as Black Buck has now claimed responsibility for something that I thought you had said, I do apologise for blaming you in the wrong.

I had thought it was you and as such you were finding common cause with the antis who have done their damnedest to stop the Game Fair at Birr including trying to get support stopped from a number of sources. It appears it was Blackbuck who wished ill on the fair/

I am surprised you did not correct me and although it was NOT a LIE but a MISTAKE, I will honour the spirit of the offer and send a donation of £50 to the IWTF.

Accepted Albert. I was only giving feedback although it was negative, it is what it is.

General, Can I reciprocate your fair response and invite you to be my guest at Shanes or Birr, Then we can have a constructive conversation based on your first hand experience of one of the fairs. And a cheque for £50 will be on its way to the IWTF tomorrow - it is certainly not a 'debt of honour' that I mind paying as I have supported the IWTF since it was formed.

The last fair I was at was Shane's in 2010 but if I do decide to go to one in the near future I will be sure to introduce myself to you and we can have a chat. I never wish anyone any bad luck especially when it comes to country sports. Maybe the odd off the cuff remark but nothing malicious. I was just trying to pick your head but you're obviously set in your ways.

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
