Yes , Had Le Chameau for 8yrs , Same height as the new 1s , there not done yet still ok , they owe me nothing but gone for the Meindl as lads I know rave about them .

That's why Im unsure, I wanted the le chameau and been looking at the new condor boots they brought out but a few people have said meindl better.

What size are you? If your a ten or under amazon is about 40 quid cheaper than all the shops I seen

Just got a pair of meindles my self not really had a chance too really wear them in yet but so far a lot comfier then my altbergs they took a lot longer too break in and only lasted 2 years I have higher hopes for these dovres

Let us know what you think when you worn them a bit mate, how comfortable are they when you first put them on, do you think they will take much wearing in.

Lowa GTX don't need breaking in , loads of British troops opt to upgrade to them due to the soft leather they take no breaking straight out box n up hill, very breathable too, Altberg not to shabby either but take some breaking in, I like Miendle hunting range boots, but they are way over priced although I do concede they are quality

le chameau leather laces ups are over priced garbage bit like there top end wellies not get a season out of any of them

I have had 511 boots for the last 2 1/2 years, very comfortable out the box and seem to be very durable. I have never owned either of the boots in this poll.
