PeskyWabbits 464
Tonight's tea was home grown pigeon. The one I shot last night. I cut the breasts into strips and fried it in veg oil with a crushed garlic clove and two fried eggs (also home grown). Fantastic. The texture was like rump steak. It was lovely. Now i need to get the other one. 2 Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
In an 11.5 ft-lb air rifle the pellets would end up like an old sixpence if shot at a tin can. The pellets don't go through tin roofs. With rats and ferals they dropped them stone dead, head or chest shots. They aren't as accurate as AA Fields, etc, but I only used them specifically for short range ratting and ferals where I wanted to minimise any risk of damage. This gives an indication what sort of trauma they can inflict......... A normal AA Field or Express just drills a 5mm hole straight through an apple with a slightly larger exit hole, and in a squirrel's chest ends up like this...... The Noricas are pretty hard to find these days. 2 Quote Link to post
