Lloyd90 509
As some of you may have read I've been looking for a springer air rifle recently Been to the local RFD today and he has a second hand AA pro sport in 177 with a Hawke parorama scope 4-12x40 with mil dot ret for £435 Quite tempted, as I know the rifle alone new is £570 some places. Also question - how do I tell difference between beach or walnut stock ? He said it was walnut Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 12,022
Walnuts darker out the two isn't it? http://www.airgunbuyer.com/details.asp?cat=Air%20Rifles&SubCat=Air%20Arms%20Air%20Rifles&Product=851 Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Are you fussed for the walnut stock? It sounds about right for walnut, but the beech ones can be had much cheaper. The Cs walnut stocks look quite light to me, I think it all depends on the particular bit of wood they use and how it's treated 1 Quote Link to post
Lloyd90 509
It looked quite dark altho I'm not massively fussed! What do you think of the rifle and scope deal for £435 ? Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 12,022
Your always going to pay more than buying privately but i was led to believe there's not many on the second hand market, you tried haggling? Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
Ha. I assure you I haven't. I suppose I know that the PS is worth that if not more. Paid about 450 for mine and that was just the rifle, in beech, and it was still worth every penny. 2 Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
Your gentle negotiation would go like this, "I have £400 quid cash in my pocket, throw in a tin of AA field pellets, and you have a sale" as you mention the £400 quid, produce it in front of him and let his eyes feast on it, good luck 3 Quote Link to post
Lloyd90 509
He refused £400 but I had the rifle, a slip that was marked up for £35, tin of pellets and box of targets for £450 so I walked away happy 2 Quote Link to post
