Mustelid 143
Some good points raised Max but there are some issues I can't quite get my head around. One of the big issues for the 'out' campaign is immigration. However, having had to spend far too much time in hospital in recent years it's clear to me that without immigration the NHS couldn't run. I live on the Monmouthshire Herefordshire border and without immigration agriculture would suffer hugely here... The fruit and veg would not get picked. Would leaving the EU result in problems for our NHS and agriculture sector? I genuinely don't know and I'm undecided which way to vote. However, the unknowns in leaving do concern me. How did we manage before immigration ? All the "Foreign" staff working in our hospitals are the types of immigrants this country needs and the types that would continue to be allowed to come and reside here, it's the freeloading ones with no skills, criminal records and no intent to work that would be getting told to piss off which is how it should be anyway not a free for all. My Mrs is due in 2 months, she's just finished a hard 3 year Uni course and has also grafted as a self employed hair dresser throughout. She won't be able to carry on doing hair soon due to her being heavily pregnant then having a new born. We live together I work full time and rent is always payed. She rang up to see if there was any benefits she was entitled to as she was worried about her not bringing in any money for a few months, she was entitled to £20 per week once the baby is born. Now if she was an immigrant with no skills or qualifications she would be entitled to a house payed for by our taxes plus food tokens and even possible driving lessons. This country is a disgrace on so many levels and they could all be sorted out by leaving the greedy EU and sorting our own country out without needing to run it by some money hungry self elected Germans first. 3 Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Robyo At least if we out the politicians can't you's the excuse of we can't do this or change that ect because of EU law They will be accountable to the electorate that votes which ever party in. No more cop out re the EU Also we have hospitals ect closing or underfunded but we give the EU is it 50 million every week and only get 25 mill back in return every week putting us 25 mill down per week Every week Fcuk that . OUT Max I agree with what you are saying ,I just don't think we will feel much difference day to day being in or out I don't think for 1 minute they'll use much more money on the health service that they no longer want ,one of the main men out brigade is a fan of bringing social insurance to pay for the health service. I think it will be close run thing that will be stay in at the end of it .... I will be voting out. The main reason for the out campaign though is they don't want the social and workplace reforms. That have ,to be fair, been a good thing for us all . Quote Link to post
border lad 1,047
My OPINION, (((( and every one has one,, if you want to make money, Have a bet the UK votes to stay in, truth even if the mass vote to go out, they the powers will rigg the vote to stay in, my working life commenced June 1960, the first 12 years we only new of a Boom time, from 1972 this once great little country, has been on slippery slope going down, at a rapid pace, they have taken out the heavy Engineering yards, ship yards, Steele works, Coal pits closed, most small industries closed, yes lads what has increased is fast foods, garden centers, Hotels, and keep fit classes, and of course the banks, Nothing will change, except the erosion, of the workers rights, Pensions that you have to have securely secured, and water tight, (((( it took me 18 months to get my Pension over the governments derisory, one, Drug addicts, alcoholics, the dossers they receive more, The Government of today, is so corrupt, its worse than than Soddam and Gomorrah, Britain is staying in BY ORDER, of the few who run Whitehall, and work hand inhand with America, Hunting for the working man is about dead only way is to keep below the radar, Poach and poach to your heart is content, your best friend is that ole jukel that will die for you, No other person will, 1 Quote Link to post
