Matches,comps,challenge's & Fights

It's out of season time lads,where's all the talk of comps,challenge's,matches etc? TV is bollox at this time of year so fetch it on will ya's,I'm just off to boil the kettle & get myself a brew hope to see this thread in full flow by the time I'm back.. Oh & my kettles rapid boil so hurry up & for what it's worth I will run any of you c**ts with my pup come the winter,any land,field or fen :-)

Many a travelling lad stopped off in keighley on their way to the Horse Fair,to whet their windpipe and graze their mare.The amount of challenges thrown around the bar rooms was comical at times.A couple of brothers were well known for challenging every dog to a race,often a fiver an hare and a fight afterwards to satisfy the loser,with another fiver to the winner.I never,in over 10 years,knew them to own a dog or win a fight,good company though,until about 7 o,clock.
