We are going to collect our beddy/whippet puppy end of May. Currently it is on a raw meat diet.

 

Do you feed a raw meat diet?

Feed my beddy whippet on raw from a pup. Have him plenty of goats milk to. Beef mince, chicken mince, tripe and moved him up to wings and chicken necks when he could handle it. You can't go wrong on the raw diet imo. He was a fat little chap on the raw

Good read that. Makes sence now were being told processed foods no good for us, must apply for dogs surely??

I was on a pet lurcher site the other day and they was on about raw....saying how bad it is...beleave it or not they have put there dogs on a veg diet...hard to beleave I no.

Said it before, but some of the most deluded, tree hugging, save the whale etc morons that rescue greyhounds and lurchers, are of the type you've just mentioned, and are horrified that the type of dog they've 'rescued' actually wants to run and kill other animals! Lol. The world's gone FAAACKIN MAD!! Lol

I don't last long on pet sites..half won't even let there dogs of alead in case they chase .no training givin apart from how to paw and beg for a treat...no life for eny dog.and were the crule ones...twats

It has gone crazy mate. Took my boy to the local park this week brought the beddy whippet with us and he couldn't resist chasing the squirrels. Lol there was a few lurchers kicking about all being screamed at when they decided to join in!! Idiots?

Breaks my heart to see those greyhounds and lurchers being dragged round the local park on lead wearing a muzzle What sort of life is that for a dog built to run flat out after game. They need rescuing from the "rescuers" IMHO.

In the past I have seen springers and lurchers being homed to the wrong type of people. You only got to stop and have a chat with these dog owners, very soon they will tell you have they never allow their dogs the lead because it goes into water, bushes, chases rabbits and deer etc... Also look at the leads around those poor necks.. The wrong leads are 99% used.
