Call him once.if he blanks you walk away from him don't call him again.hide behind a bush and wait he will come looking for you.praise him when he runs past you.then carry on the walk.do that a few times.

don't call him at all,he will just be learning to ignore you and your setting the pup up to fail.walk over and put him on the lead.if he won't let you approach just wait it out.he'll come back and when he does come back call him in and only praise him when he's at your feet.

Hes not coming back till hes eaten it or stoped play with it, I just don't want him to get a bad habit, so when he gets a live one he will come to me with it not just eat/play

Work on the recall where you know there's no carcass's,when he's comes back go mental with praise.Shout, wave your arms, wrestle him,get him to jump up on you, just go mental so he knows when he comes back he get's a bloody good game with you and your better than the carcass.Treat's don't do no harm either, just small bit's of meat. What cross is it.?

No dog is trained at 6 months old bud no matter how he reacts at home or anywhere else, early training can lead to the owner believing the pup is willing trying it on in situations like that , the fact of the matter is the pup finds the dead bunnies more interesting than anything you have to offer ,

Nothing is broken here that can't be fixed, at six months old the pup is getting into drive territory, more interest in smells , and expressing greater prey instinct

Look at this as a way to find out what attracts the pup a ball , tug item , food

Only feed the pup on walks, bin the bowl , bring all his food with you , use the recall to feed , you'll find the motivation to recall with hunger involved is a much stronger,

Time spent engaging with a ball or tug item is time well invested in controlling a pups prey instinct , now is the time to start teaching the recall, forget anything that has gone before

Best of luck with the pup

Well yeah i suppose but i don't mind it,apart from when the deerhound claws at my face.I hold there front legs and we do the fox trot.they don't jump on anybody else and when i say down they get down.Actually i pat my chest to encourage them up.

Nothing wrong with getting plenty of contact , the more the better , more contact equals less fear and builds trust , ideal for recall and retrieve too

Conifident mutt has no problem with contact, nervous dog is the opposite , always a good tell in investigating where the relationship between owner and dog is really at , dogs body language can't tell lies
