first post.... been following you boys a while and think this site is spot on!

seriously been thinking id coped for a duff barrel!

but after loads of head scratching /scope swapping barrel cleaning / firing with mod without mod it turns out its mega pellet fussy!!! aghhhh

I've been trying all the pellets you lads use and still no joy, the falcons in552 and superdomes were the only ones pulling a semi acceptable group.

not happy enough to go hunting with though, i use a tx and can do 5p groups at 30m the best the 100 would do was a 50p at 20m"the garden/house range"

until today , diabolo field 552 one hole groups on the home range!!! thank f

dose anyone else have this problem?! it nearly sent me round the bend

If its new then take it back , Hull cartridge will put another barrel on

i had to have mine re crowned. after that it was good with h+n ftt

it was a shop demo, the bloke at the shop said it had only had a couple of hundred through it!

gonna try and get on the field tomorrow and see if its any good at range!

the scope I've put on is off another rifle thats bang on so its got to be the barrel, all the other pellets were consistent through the crono even though they were all over the place !

hopefully the aa's are the cure or its off back.

Try cleaning the barrel and stick a few mags through it, If it wont put one hole groups at 40 yards with AAs or Jsbs then theres something wrong.

My 100kt (.177 though) si.. only liked 3 pellets out of the 20+ I tried through her ( cost me a fortune pellet testing ) A few more did one inch groups but i expected much more than that at 34 yards. Settled for the AA express in the end (can put one up the other ones skirt!) Still got the AA fields and RWS superfield to fall back on though.

 

Thought mine was a fussy fecker!?

I've done a few pull through and it was pretty manky

i chopped in a 177 pcp for the 100 it was pellet on pellet but i fancied a 22 for a change, always had 22 spingers as a kid!

yeah I've tried 8 different types, was expecting great things but got a headache

tomorrows test will be the decider hopefully the diabolo's are the answer

A little tip a lot of HW 100 owners forget is to hold the magazine at arms length (empty) and give the pellet loading side the lightest of sprays with gun oil once every other trip out.

Tightens your groups up big style that tip does, as in, " it becomes a tac driver"

Now your barrel is clean Si stick to your pellet of choice "only",- lead the barrel and away you go - don`t forget the above tip.

its sorted now

it was a combo of 552 being too tight, although these diabolo's are that size they are way slacker in the mag compared to all the others!

the super field felt like a two stage loading process !

when i first got it i fitted an old scope and the grouping wasn't to bad with superdomes so i backtracked and did some scope swapping!

the tx is now allover the spot and the 100 is spot on.... I'm now the proud owner of a shite scope that won't hold 0

so my lad can have a fancy telescope to mess about with!!! ha

ill give the mag a spray too, I've had to up end it a couple of times n put a few drops of clenzoil onto the mag mec cos it stopped cycling a couple of times!

ill use the other pellets for catapulting at ducks when I'm fishing
