Were they side on shots Mark or front /back ?

I`ve been waiting for this question ,

With .177 i only take side on and between the shoulder blade shots ( if you will) and the first three wood pigeons were shot side on heart/lung with the .22 Falcons.

The manner, in which these wood pigeons were despatched really impressed me, just instant "lights out" !

I was presented with a ( later lazed) 31 yd full on shot and because of the previous birds i took it. I settled the cross hairs half an inch to the right (our right) of the ridge plated bone and sent the .22 Falcon on it`s way. The pigeon just toppled backwards, wings folded still, it new nothing, - instant despatch.

The 5th wood pigeon was an identical scenario but again, "instant despatch".

On inspection the impact area on the wood pigeons was neat but hit hard, the exit hole was easily little finger nail size ( 3 or 4 pellet head size).

I am very impressed with these Falcons
