treecreeper 1,136
Fine for shooting one is 6grand I think lab. We had to fence our lake and it was cheaper than 3 20lb carp it had already munched. They are no longer rare thanks to the bunny huggers releasing them left right and centre. I have seen them at close quarters in four separate counties miles apart in broad daylight upto now. I even have a video of one from 6ft away, they are not scared of people as they are hand reared doubt you would get so close to a wild one. Rex not sure about the herons tbh my pond is netted but they guy up the road reckons one drowned in his pond trying to shag his plastic one ? You just get rid of it and that's it. I've seen the damage they can do too duck ponds. They need controlling. Same as any other problem animal.
delswal 3,819
Why go public with this? An Otter cost's you 10k plus and the best thing you can think of doing is going public and video it. Any wild animal that costs me 10k is getting slotted the next opportunity I get, won't be getting shot with a video camera that's for sure.
deerdogs 418
I know of one that tore the heads off a couple rare birds of prey and just left the bodies, was caught on a trail cam!
