Ha. Your not the first to ask. To be honest, I don't see the point in uber huge focal lens, it's a bit late 90's early 2000's, when Simmons where bangin on about the 30 minute advantage and all that s

Took the plunge Hawke vantage 4x16x40 sf, 10x1/2 mill dot , should do the trick Thanks for the advise lads , lov ya all ! atb

Scopes get very personal, as does the magnification and reticle people like.   Don't rule out some of the cheap ones, there are all the usual Hawke and NS etc., but these will generally surprise yo

Well i`ll still say it Dave, even though you dislike the conect.

Not to heavy - mamba lite scb

Static hunting - mamba 4-16x50 scb - these "bad boys" struggle badly to miss.

p.s. You`ll have no problem with this reticle Dave and deadly accurate/precise. ( Xmas tree reticle).

Can't stand MTC scopes all to fussy , how about Hawke vantage SF or panorama both nice scopes but on my HW100k.22 i have a hawke night eye SR6 great scope , just a shame they stopped making them

This is why you only shot 11 rabbits the other night Mitch :nono:

Now if you had, had the Mamba scb scope on your rifle and in .177cal, you wouldn`t have missed the other 93, would you :icon_redface: ?

In all honesty and I ain't read the posts above but you can't beat the new Hawke models. Seriously. Ultra fine cross hair too, perfect for the 100 for obvious reasons.

2-7x32 Airmax is the best scope I've owned, and it cost £120. Nuff said.

Iv had a panorama on little hunters ultra for 4 years David and at first i did not like them but a little tweak with the eye re,leaf and i fell for it there a cracking scope the one he has is the floating ret dont know the correct name for it

and the ir is red or blue

and iv just put a new set of them away but the 4,12,50 for the hw110 for us

And by the way VM i love the MTC mamba apart from my ncstars one of the best scopes iv ever had
