Rabid 1,936
Well, it may seem a bit harsh I agree, but cross contamination of waters is a serious thing, our native Crays are really struggling, not saying you did, or are stupid enough to spread the signals, but folk do, and eventually it will wipe our whites out, I know it's a kick in the nuts been on the wrong end of it, but I do believe the ea need to take a stance on protection of native stocks. Had you gone about it the right way, the ea grant a free licence to trap and transport them, no harm done, everyone's a winner, all it takes is a call. 1 Quote Link to post

Some good points, yes nearly every waterway has them now, but, the white claws still have a few limited places, and unfortunately I do think it's only a matter of time before they loose the battle, all the more reason things need to be done. What did the copper do ? As police or not, they are bound by the same laws as everyone else, although they have a few 'get out of jail free' cards. Yes there are holes in the law I agree, and I wasn't trying to be funny with you personally, I think things need to change, and hope it's not already too late Quote Link to post
logan 447
He originally pulled me over for no brake light , then decided to search my car because he sed we were suspicious lol he found the 26 crayfish tied up in a sack caught earlier that day in a beck in fact it wasn'teven me who caught them it was to lads 8 years old I just totally forgot to take them out , he made me empty them out at the side of the road so he could count them so for me it's him who'scommitted the offence by taken them out of the sack he should have informed the environmental health and they should have came and sorted them out . I'm been done for taken or receiving crayfish in Thirsk when in fact they were caught 30 miles away so I don't no how they do me , Quote Link to post
logan 447
I think the main reason he was so pissed is because I thought I'd be a clever twat and call him a shellfish basted as you probably imagine he wasn't emused lol 3 Quote Link to post

bell 3,609
Mate, it depends wether it's a summary only offence......if it is then they have 6 months to lay the information for the summons. What's the wording on the summons ? Pm me the info if you want. Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Whatever happens good luck with it. I find it very harsh penalty, especially when they pull someone carrying cannabis they just confiscate it and that's a drug ffs. Quote Link to post
