kanny 21,632
Example's don't always work with that I will agree, but putting fear into somebody does. Shame the big fella cannot do an appearance to set an example. If he did I will guarantee you one thing, I for one will start believing and every fcuker else will start toeing the line. Fair one mate, personally I'm not so sure it's a "big fella"........but I believe what I see and nobody is gonna convince me that a f***ing great oak tree and all the information to form it comes out of a tiny little acorn and that is all just by accident!!There's certainly science to support the "architect theory" and it's something that I can get on with but I draw the line at the all seeing judgmental God we are fed... When you look at just what had to be perfect for us to even exist it does make you think however I feel we over egg our own pudding when it comes to thinking how important we are in the big scheme of things... If there is a architect it certainly doesn't care or judge us as we are led to believe by the books....just my opinion... You don't need a God to hold good morals.

I do like the way you look at religion mate, keep it simple and make it right for you.. I've said loads of times I'm not religious but like the idea of the moral compass religion (used correctly) gives you, God, creation, the ark, moses etc... not for me... do unto others as you would have them do to you.. that's more like it.. lol Coming from a half Irish background and my father schooled by nuns and raised as a Catholic, he still hates the nuns who taught him to this day, he's had a hard life but reckons the nuns were some of the nastiest people he ever met, beatings and being made to feel constantly guilty by them did not help with him keeping his faith. So we were raised with no religion forced on us, my mother has a small amount of faith, my father has none, my kids are bought up as Christians without beiong forced to believe in a god (if that makes sense )

delswal 3,819
Not one to knock anybodies belief wether that be a religious one or an evolutional one, everyone to their own thats what makes us work. What i cannot stomach or get my head round is the way certain factions can hide in the shadow of the cross that they are meant to be worshipping to commit horrendous crimes. Yet just as bad are those who know whats happening and do nothing about it. Just what power does the church hold over our legal system? yes we all know what went on in the 50's and 60's, but you try and get a nun in court to face charges not a chance, yet take any other person who is not connected to the church facing the same offences and hey presto, you have a conviction. Not really quite sure which is the biggest hypocrite the legal system or the church because neither seem interested in justice being served. Rant over I'm off to shoot a fox. If believing and faith gives you comfort, keep on believing. A.T.B

Rake aboot 4,936
Rightey ho. People are evil, being Catholic does not make them any more or less evil. If these people were not nuns and priests, they would still be evil. I hate religion, as in reeeeaaaly hate it, with a passion, but , my Aunt is a Catholic nun and is the nicest most caring person you could ever meet. She has dedicated her life to looking after the elderly, and would have done equally pious things if she had be an atheist. People are evil they just use different tools to hide it.
