I've had a pair of hunters for a good 20 years now and they've still got some life left in them maybe I've been lucky ...they was a extravagant purchase when I got them I didn't have much back then so I've always looked after them ...I also got a cheep pair of karrimor snow boots for a trip to Iceland 4 years ago and they have surprised me there still going strong and very warm but they are a bit Herman simlar to theses but mine have fur linings ... http://www.karrimor.com/karrimor-snowfur-mens-boots-143530?colcode=14353005.

I'd much rather wear boots and gators so the wellies are a last resort or if I do a bit of fishing ...just feed them a bit of baby oil every now and then keeps em supple.

One thing I'll say Kanny is that 20 years ago Hunter were the BEST but nowadays they're substandard.

I bought a pair of Balmorals last year. 4 months I got out of them.

IMO a lot of wellies nowadays are like shooting clothing, they're made for those who stand at a peg looking pretty.

They're not made for the lad who's on his belly crawling under a Blackthorn hedge.

I agree mate over the last 20 years the likes of Hunter and Barbour have moved more into the fashion market and put style over substance ..bigger numbers cheaply produced then quality is bound to suffer .. it seems to be the way of the world now.

I bought a pair of hunter's over 20 years ago & they were shite, leaking within weeks.......they've never been the best, maybe ok for standing on a peg waiting for pheasants or driving a range rover haha....so f**k knows what there like now!....
