Yep, bring it on! I have never wished for a wet winter before....

 

Planning on having a borehole done next year if finances allow. That way I can keep it topped up in the driest of dry summers too.

 

Farmer should be removing the clay mountain this week and relandscaping with the topsoil then it moves onto stage 2 planting.

 

Its guna be a long haul but all I keep thinking about is when Im retired and I can float fish for 5-6lb tench in a nice little mature pond in my back garden, my own little paradise.

Yeah. I have left shallow shelves around the edges and around island for reeds. Then some other shelves for lillies. Around the back of the island I have just gentley ramped it up and guna fill it with reeds/grasses etc for the bugs frogs newts and what not.
