Bosun11 537
No, never been invited (what does that say about me?) nor know anyone who is a Mason. Been out with a few girls in the past who's fathers 'were on the square' and funnily enough they were the fathers that really didn't like me much. All their daughters went on to marry Masons...! Read a few books on the subject, funny 'ol lot and not to be trusted... Walshie, where did you get the idea for this thred..? lol

walshie 2,804
As I know nothing about them I can't really comment. The few guys I know who are, seem sound enough, but to be honest I couldn't be bothered spending my spare time doing whatever they do, when I could be doing my own stuff. bobcullen79 1,495
I asked a well spoken ex-army man who was one what it was all about recently. He couldnt really give me a proper answer. He did say you get certain perks from other members ... He went on to say, "Its like a cross between a church ceremony and a military parade" (He was attending a big do the day after and had some part to play he was well chuffed with.) Then went on to say "You learn to live for a better purpose, help others blah blah blah" I rapidly lost interest and told him it sounded gay as fukc. My granddad and uncle are members.

marshman 7,758
Just to add my uncle is a mason he showed me he's apron and gave me a book to read , like I said a lot of ancient ceromony and symbolism almost all of it was lost on me at the time. I don't think it's for me as my father taught me to be a cautious man .
