Says my lady after lunch, grey skies, and slight rain, so got the hob out, and off we went to some woods ive had my eyes on, bit of a slog getting there, but well worth it, dog was in the woods before me, and was already marking, thick undergrowth, and hawthorn bushes, hands and knees job, anway slipped the hob, and within seconds the ground erupted, i thought the hob was in for a booting, Nell was on form, ears twitching, adrenalin pumping, then out they came, could have had a bagfull if i used nets, Nell grabbed one, then shot off after another, so im on my knees waiting for the stinker to show his face, seemed like an eternity for the ferret to appear, christ knows weer the dog had gone, then she appeared with another rabbit, must have been the bolter, still waiting for the ferret to show his face, by this time, i got the cramps, i just had to get up, big mistake, the hawthorns got hold of me, tore into my right ear, then the little bugger decided to show his face, so back down i went, gathered him up, and piss wet through made our way home, wont tell you what my lady said when i got home, 2 in the bag, im happy wi that
