few finds past week,,,,just infront on banking,were I live..

I found these coins wrapped in an old check ha hanky. 1700's

got a garrett ace250 here ..had it a couple of years rob..just got round to using it...learning it and getting ready for a bitta night work,when the crops get harvested..lol......

interesting bits and bobs there,done a lot as a youngster detector was cheapo rubbish but kept us entertained as kids,sand dunes in kent full empty round cases and the odd cap badge plenty old pennies and tin foil lol.

 

what would be a reasonable model to get back into it again been playing with the idea for last couple year now cheers :thumbs:

its an old dog tag max..with address/phone number on solihul w/midlands..[few years old though].......sick of digging them bulletts up..must have dug a hundred of the feckers....lol....old first world war rifle range near me..303,i think??

Second hand garret ace 250

 

Sell it for what you bought it for if you get bored or wanna upgrade

using a detecnics..pro pointer aswell rob,,makes life easier..eats batteries though...as dido says you wont lose much on a garrett 250..then if its for you..well upgrade etc.

a lad round here max, averages 25k a year from his errrr wanderings ....lol.........yep as you say makes you think about the history of some of the finds etc... I live on the coast and just inland is the lincolnshire wolds..stand up there on the tops and there's great views to the mouth of the humber..imagine like it was,, them Vikings/romans rolling up..

around £180 at amazon,might treat myself early xmas lol

if your gonna get an ace250 rob,,i got the sports pack off ebay about £250 you get two coils..i use the larger one covers more ground..or you can upgrade to the nel coil..google mdf,,[metal detecting forum]there's every thing you wanna know about the garrets there mate..

nice one cheers,might be setting myself up for some serious ball ache from the missus,il tell her finding diamond rings is common might ease the pain a little lol

Know someone who goes all over doing it or used to haven't really spoke to him recently found lots of intresting Roman stuff and he used to go onto all the show grounds after the shows and get all the dropped change you'll be suprised how much Money people drop at shows
