Only got a french bulldog now though and its the family dog so might sound harsh but im not as obsessed as with what it eats. Dont have to be the best but dont want to feed her shit like bakers. Dog cant help what it is and as far as pets go its a lovely little dog. I aint one of those blokes blinded into thinking their dogs the best and ive only seen less than 30 other french bulldogs. Would say mine appears the most active and able dog but that could be down to the owners as most was over weight. Mine aint gonna run as much as my staffords did but id never keep any dog fat and far as french bulldogs go mine looks alright lol. 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

A few weeks ago I was away for a week and fed it exclusively and by the time I got back the dogs coats was fecking gleaming, not sure what that says about the normal diet lol. Add it into the diet gradually and don’t over feed as it will cause loose shits. If you just have the one dog then table scraps should add a fair bit of variety to the diet. I went through a stage of not feeding any dry feed at all. I was cooking up brown pasta and veg, adding brown bread etc. I've gradually changed over to feeding redmills racer instead of the pasta/bread/veg. Still feeding the beef mince, lamb mince, tripe, chicken carcass and table scraps. But adding a handful of mixer in with it and I honestly can't see any difference in the dogs. Used to shit once a day and was always solid and dogs coats always looked good. Its not that i love my old dogs more but i was doing more with them and was obsessed. The frenchie is just a family pet cant run the bollocks off her or anything. Spoilt little fanny magnet dog so long as whatever shes feed is decent enough then itll do. I probably could do with the money more than most but dont agree with my morals. Bloke beore me bred her n dumped her at his parents n they couldnt handle her. Bored with not having a dog n she wouldnt get out otherwise so i walked her. Ended up with her n shes here until she dies. I would of prefered a dog i could do more with but it aint the dogs fault n my mum wont have another staff again.
