gurtwurz 793
I'm a military Aviation and Naval artist and illustrator and I own my own publishing business. My work covers all kinds of aviation and warship paintings for books, greetings cards, prints, mugs film and tv productions, historical aircraft museums, aircraft owners, airlines, air forces. In fact, just anyone who loves an oil painting on canvas of a fighter or bomber or warship on the wall. Especially Second World War air combat. I have to admit I have a particular liking for the DIANA 54 AIRKING too. Diana 52 sidelever is a beauty too. One rifle I cannot find much about was a very beautiful, custom-built, classical looking bolt action rifle with a pcp action. ISP "SPARTAN" was the name if I remember rightly, I think. Does anyone remeber seeing these advertised in the shooting press some 10 years ago???....These were really beautiful looking rifles built to order and would cost over a £1,000 nowadays I think. That's something special I'd like but, what the performance was like I cannot say. They had tiny air cylinders hidden in the forestock yet, they claimed they can produce about 40 shots at 11.5 ft/lbs. Edited to add. These are/were truly fabulous looking rifles that had all the looks of an elegant bolt action full-bore Deer rifle. But not cheap and not a commercially available gun. Only the Daystate Regal and Huntsman Classic came close to this level of elegance and that's why I bought them. But the ISP rifles have really solved the problem of hiding the cylinder within the stock. theyre still being made simon, just google isp spartan air rifles and youll find them. theyve a facebook page too, think ive 'like'd it so you can find that via my page there. incidentally, he does a stunning stutzen that starts at £2500 or thereabouts.... cheers, wurz 1 Quote Link to post

VWman 232
Some interesting rifles and jobs. It's nice to be working in the hard times that we are in, and to enjoy your job as I do I consider my self lucky. The cream on the cake is being able buy the odd rifle or two every now and then. 1 Quote Link to post
Steve Houchin 0
I am a carpenter joiner with a building business, I like the idea of a Diana 54 airking but will probably not own one. Why not? Hello there I have a HW77 and a HW95k so I think the next one will be a pcp, but who knows may be one day. I have not seen one for sale in the uk. Hi VWman which do you prefer out of the hw77 and hw95? I am just about to buy one of the two. I went for a look at the HW95 but it wasn't in stock so had a look at the HW77 which I hadn't considered but it looked like a really well made gun. I was tempted to buy it there and then but I still haven't handled the hw95 so I'll wait until I can compare the two. Quote Link to post

Hello Steve If I could only have one it would be the HW95k because it is very pointable around the barns and picking pigeons off the corn dryer. The power seems well up to the job and it handles sweet to the point that I can't put it down at the moment. The 77 is a nice rifle and when I get it tuned it will be a great gun. My 95 is the K, short barrel and a moderator and I would highly recommend one but try out at the shop is a must. When I tried it out it talked to me, it said take me home and you will not be sorry LOL. 2 Quote Link to post

Bunnyblatter 1,012
I'd buy one tomorrow if they produced one but I highly doubt they will so it may have to be a left handed CS700 stock for her Quote Link to post

VWman 232
Any more rifles you fancy and what do you do to pass the time work or other wise. I have a mate who has chucked it all in at the age of 55, he says he would not have the time to do a job now. Quote Link to post
