At the risk of this thread being locked (the last one was..... ) all I would say is they are excellent. I've now got 2 of these (carbine and classic) - better than 90% of the rest and no worse than the other 10%. I've had my carbine for about 12 years, never let me down. No leaks, never serviced, had a fair to hard life. I grease a few places, wipe it down, oil the stock, and she's good to go.

Deadly accurate.

If you can stretch to it - get walnut stocks they are way better balanced.

I think I'm right in saying they are the best selling PCP.

One idea I would suggest is to buy a good 2nd hand one (pre anti-tamper) and then invest on a top-end tune up (i.e., XTX air). The blueing on my older S410K has a flawless deep matt finish that I really like. On my new S410 classic its a deep shiny finish like a black mirror....its anti tamper, and the trigger is no where near as sweet as my older one no matter how much I play....still top drawer quality - but when you've been lucky and spoiled with a gun that is soooooooo good, you know you will never sell, other units pale in comparison.

PS - a thumbhole stock is to die for and helps with deadly accuracy....but I appreciate that budget may prevent it.

Personal opinion only:-

I had an S410 and the bolt action was a pain, and need two hands to reload the magazine. Didn't like the fact you could double load it aswell.

It was well built and accurate as feck, but I sold it and went for an HW100 KT. Side lever reload, 14 shot instead of 10, single handed magazine change. I've never looked back and never would go back to bolt action. If you like the AA rifles maybe the S510 instead which I believe has a side lever.
