How did your beer come out? My mum would have a fit if i started brewing my own beer lol. Anything me or my brother do she asumes were gonna end up like my dad. Shell count the beers we drink and if one of us is popping shop to get more reminds us how much weve had. Brothers just booked to go vegas for a week and she started telling him his gonna become a gambling addict lol. Does my nut in at times though.

The kits i made were called yorkshire best bitter or something like that. The hardest part is the waiting and then its a struggle because you have a barrell of beer and its too easy to just keep topping your glass up. But it was delicious and v strong lol id like to try making some whisky next

Home brew is far ahead of what it was years ago...the results even with the kits are really good, well above the average beer.

I've been making it along with other stuff for a few years.

I would recommend giving it a go, you will be surprised.

For wine I have found German reisling top notch stuff.

Anything else, you can make spirits of sorts by fermentation using turbo yeast which is crazy stuff and will ferment sugar and Water to about 14% in a very short time, add a spirit essence of which there are hundreds of types from gin to absinthe and there you go.

Some of these are good, some are bad but it's good to try as you can make a litre for next to nothing.

So you're gonna make a still? It's not exactly Crown court stuff but I still wouldn't shout about it. LOL

Just know what you're doing so you don't kill anybody or blow anything up.

Around me there are a few stills, 2 within 10 minutes that I know of, but they have been given grandfather rights, ie allowed to be handed down to the next generation and illegal to sell the liqour. They make a good drop though, called eau de vie, made from either grapes (like a rustic cognac), pear or peach. Very nice after a coffee while the mug is cup is still warm.
