Nay bother but look it up ;) Scargill wasn't starving, if the unions didn't try to hold the country to ransom none of the bollocks would have happened. Unfortunately they did and a shitload of paid up members were shafted by them to line their own pockets.... Atypical socialists but we can't let the truth get in the way of a good thatcher bashing now can we

Lol, because scotland hates the Tories, labour and snp banned hunting in England, aye ok mate I'll let you in on a secret, I hate the Tories, they f****d the mining industry and the ship building industry and that hits home, but I evenly hate the rest of the country raping parties, I can't seem to see sense in what your saying don't think I'll be alone either

I,l explain my view , if you took Scottish politicians out the equation reg the hunting ban I meaning me believe there would be no ban if it was just a wales and England vote , I also believe that if the tories carried out there pledge of a repeal they would have lost and more than likely made things worse , but if you took the scots input out of the equation of the repeal then I believe the ban would have been lifted , as said no slight on Scottish folk just the elected

I think many in Scotland and here in the north east don't even know why they hate the tories

Because their dad did, and his dad did and his dads dad did. Oh and because of that bl**dy Thatcher stealing milk and closing pits, blah blah blah

"closing the pits blah blah blah" Obviously you don't understand what that actually means to the communities round here, along with destroying the steel industry its killed the area, i wouldn't advise making comments like that in a mining community, sorry ex mining community.

I used "nonce" to get across the feeling for the tories, i wasn't saying "all tories are nonces" although its looking like plenty of them are, heath, hague, britton, clark........all been accused, but being suppressed at the moment, cabinet re shuffle so close to an election lmao........shuffling the nonces out.

Seems your biggest worry is hunting bans and handgun bans under labour, the tories haven't done anything about that have they, like immigration, the have forced people into low paid jobs, and working people into food banks, and then to add insult to injury given the rich big tax breaks, as well as the cheap labour, i could go on.

Before you accuse me of "defending labour/voting labour, think again mate, my opinion of labour.....traitorous scum, same goes for unions, they all work for the same people, with the same goals, f***ing obvious.

Around here where's that exactly? Inferring anyone is a nonce is a pretty serious accusation maybe not around your parts maybe but it is to me.

My biggest concern is not handguns or hunting that's my pastime, my biggest concern is the well being of my family and those I care about, that is why I wouldn't vote labour for all the tea in China.

If we're having a dick measuring contest on how we've been hit in the past well my brother, my uncle, my brother in law, my best mates father and uncle and my mother were all working in the steel industry and were casualties of the collapse of the steel industry, they however didn't spend the next 30 years staring into a pint in the miners welfare club being victims they got on with it and found other jobs.

I heard on the radio recently a women who was representing Goldthorpe complaining that business was absent from the area and even the banks had pulled out of Goldthorpe. Well what the f*ck do they expect will happen, burning an effigy of Margret Thatcher whe she died partying in the street which was broadcast around the world?? It's insanity move on.

I won't accuse you of voting for anyone, for you are the worse of them all, one who complains and kicks and screems for the wrongs of government but does nothing to change it. If I remember rightly your way is not to vote at all.

100 top UK businesses today signed a letter to say a vote for a labour would be detrimental to the economic recovery of the country, now I'm just having a stab in the dark here but im guessing your not one of these captains of industry.

What a lot of shite, so how did we (scotland) come out it better than youse? Our "scottish politicians" agreed on a better outcome than yours? Are you missing that? We have a better hunting with dogs act than you?

Mushroom the Tories are a bunch of idiots I trust NO political party infact I could count on my hands and my toes how many people in this life I REALLY do trust, the damage she done was diabolical it's ok for people who weren't involved in it to comment I wasnt directly involved but as my family were it had a bit of a knock on effect and in the area apprenticeships etc sealed to exist when my family left school they could walk right into the yards, that was long before I had to worry about working and responsibility but I grew up in the area I remember the last crane in lithgows getting blew up, the damage she done to this nation can't not be noticed and scotland paid the price. It's not just the Tories I don't trust I trust no f****r but my original post was about someone bashing salmond, and like I said in the last 4 years he's donated nearly half a million pounds from his own bank to charity, not fundraising not from the SNP but from his own wage slip could you see Cameron thatcher brown or Blair doing it? They would watch you die rather than give you a 10er

think you might be missing the point without Scotland in the frame a repeal would have gone ahead and I believe would have been reversed

Aye? Are we not still waiting on camerons pledge to hold a vote? Ah that's right he's pledging it again.....just before another election. I'm not missing any point a lot of people in scotland don't want to risk anything and want to keep it the way it is incase its repealed then brought back into force and we come worse off as just now we can flush with hounds to waiting guns, and terrier work can still be done in a legal way, if you hand on your heart believe that then That's fine to be honest I couldn't give a f**k what you think I've said my part on it, if love the ban to be repealed, unfortunately I can never see it happening, might start blaming the English tho make myself feel better

  • Hunt supporters want to use 'English votes for English laws' to repeal ban
  • Research by group Countryside Alliance suggests English and Welsh MPs would vote by a majority of 22 to scrap the ban if a vote were held now
  • But MPs in Scotland are overwhelming opposed to overturning

there has been no such vote took place yet, there's been no vote and your trying to blame scotland lol? the ban was brought in just over 10 years ago, so wee small scotand was the cause of big england banning hunting with dogs? That's a lot of pish, but if that's what makes ye feel better batter in. English people should vote for English laws, and they should have fuckall to say in scotand that's why I proudly voted YES, to cut the ties. Ye ever stood and faced a 70mph wind and pished into it? Neither have I but I feel like I am doing it in this conversation

were having a debate aint we nothing personal from me just stating my view //

MPs from the Westcountry have no say on hunting laws in Scotland, so why should Scottish MPs hold a veto over repealing the pointless and wasteful Hunting Act in England and Wales?

"The continuing interference of Scottish Labour MPs also underlines the fact that the Hunting Act has nothing to do with animal welfare or wildlife management, but is a prejudiced, political attack on the hunting community

A well-placed source in the pro-hunting campaign said: 'Hunting is a classic example of the anomaly which allows Scottish MPs to dictate the law in England and Wales on an issue over which they themselves have no say in Scotland because it is a matter that has been devolved to the Scottish Parliament.

'Any move to stop MPs from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland from voting on devolved issues in the next parliament would, therefore, make repeal or amendment of the Hunting Act in England and Wales much more likely.'
