A nice Spanish blue hen gifted to me off general lee went broody and I hatched of some aseel, oeg duckwings and Spanish blues in the incubator then transferred them under her! There 2 weeks old today!

It has time using the yolk sack. Opening up the incy will upset the humidity, move it if it's nearing 24hrs imo, others may have different thoughts. Are the others pipping? If so shouldn't be long.

Let us see the results.

no different thoughts here - your spot on. That's what I do although I've to sit on my hands to keep from opening it sometimes lol.

When you getting it back?
think it works out (duck hatch) end of May start of June. I'm itching to get it now though I'm impatient :laugh:

tell me about it cm ! anyway its in the brooder on its own feeding and drinking so finger crossed for the next few ,got 2 broodies now on the go a bantie and one of the yanks "the wheaten one " may need to swap a few eggs around to make the most of them !

That's great. All the best with them :-)

Cheers, had another Wyandotte on 8 eggs but she was terrible.....kicked some eggs out and only hatched one out. That died after 3 days......not happy..
