Tremo 138
Quite barren for bunnies around my area also. It has been like this for a good while. Plenty of bloody crows though. These devils seem to be all that I shoot these days. I can't complain though. Quote Link to post
nasher1 258
Very few rabbits by me loads of corvids, pigeons and fox though Quote Link to post
random 659
Too many aspects of rabbit control to ask people to lay off them I think,I don't see too many on the ground I go hunting on so we take a few and leave some to come back for, those who need rid will try to achieve that and those who take a few for the pot will do just that,if you've more than you can get on top of I say you are lucky cus most of us hardly have enough to keep a constant supply in the freezer,it all depends on your situation but we all have different approaches and motives with regard to rabbit control... 1 Quote Link to post
random 659
And as some have said, plenty of corvid and pigeon to go at,they seem to thrive everywhere... Quote Link to post
cocpops 19
I wouldn't consider holding back either on a Perm with plenty , but for the areas that now have near empty warrens or zero rabbit's then I think its a great idea. If the numbers recover its straight back to business. The biggest loss is lamping through the summer nights,a pregnant or suckling Doe shot, kills several winter rabbit's. Not a great loss on a healthy warren but where there's few, a different matter. Quote Link to post
The one 8,592
Going to narrow your location down a bit as I've asked a guy out for the second time in two weeks and I can still see me ferreting and shooting till mid April Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,589
If you have a permission where the rabbits are next to none, then it is a good idea, for your own shooting's sake, to let then recover in number and repopulate the environment. Then you have your sport back on and a pleased farmer sees what a good lad you are! 1 Quote Link to post
tb25 4,627
Is shooting really a sport..couldn't think of nothing more boring than shooting rabbits. Quote Link to post
John Stott 202
Is shooting really a sport..couldn't think of nothing more boring than shooting rabbits. Yes its a sport. Worth approximately £2 billion to the UK economy annually. It puts food on the table for we peasants too. It encourages young folk to be constructive, analytical and acquire an outdoor skill in the company of others. Now, if that answers your question fine, if not go troll some other place and practice your grammar. Quote Link to post
