Spring 22. Advice Needed

Recommended Posts

Looks double barrel??

It's called an underlever. You pull it down and back to cock the gun. There are two main ways of cocking the mainspring on a modern spring air rifle -- underlever and break-barrel.

Underlevers are reputed to be more accurate, since the barrel is fixed in place. The difference to an average shooter would be minimal, however.

Go for a good brand -- Weiihrauch, AA, Walther. Try before you buy if you can, at your local range or RFD. Something that looks wikkid may shoulder like a brick, so limiting your wish list based on looks would be a bit daft.

the rest is up to you

But you will probably get some thing else because its cheaper and you think it looks good but if you do just remember if you buy cheap you buy twice

Its already been said, but tx200Hc over Hw77 any day of the week if we are talking 'out of the box'. Other than that, Prosport. Try them and try them in different calibre's. The difference between .177 and .22 is nearly always exaggerated. People have been using both for decades with great effect - so its really down to you and what suits you.

My preference is my preference and may not be yours. Try before you buy.

And if you like looks, get a walnut stock they also add balance to most guns and can make them about 0.25lbs lighter.
