Any Jobs Going?

Recommended Posts

Evening all, I was made redundant at Christmas and am struggling to find work. I am applying for everything from bin man up. Very slow going!

I am experienced in most countryside jobs, does anyone know of anything in the Gloucestershire area please? Or anywhere really,I am willing to move.

Thanks all.

Time to re-train mate, and you're still young enough. Countryside jobs are great, if you like low pay and no work. Try something with a future. Are you good with your hands ? Are you mechanically good ? etc, etc.

May be worth trying the likes of truck garages as semi skilled ? heavy and dirty work but the money can be good when trained.

I did time served on the trucks, no papers as such, but ended up at a main dealer on very good money. Possibly not a job you would want to do over 50 though. As said, heavy, hard work and out in all weathers on breakdowns. I packed it in at 35, went self employed doing other things.

Round here recovery firms advertise for drivers so that's another thing to try. Anti social hours though and call out.
