A nother trick I used is get some of those pratice plastic golf balls and set them out , there the same size as the kill zone , ie a rabbits head , they work great Mac because when you hit one at nite they fly off , save you walking back and forth mate

To see where you hit

At least you got a shot, I went out with the HW77 this afternoon for the last hour, a cracking little spot that neary always produces a woody or two and a squirrel, so I gets nicely settled in under one of my favourite trees, about ten minutes later two woodies land in a tree to my right, one covered by twigs, the other a nice clear 30yard sitter, I cock the rifle, and take aim, I am just about to squeeze the shot off when the bloody pigeons clear off, no wonder, there is a bloke, stood about 60 yards away looking for his dog(judging by the next 5 mins shouting he did) ok thinks me, I will have a fag, and settle down and wait, 15 minutes later sees me settling the crosshairs on a squirrels skull only about 25 yards away, I am just about to shoot again, when all hell lets loose as 4 quad bikes going at full chat, scream past about 40 yards to my left, off goes nutkins back to his drey  the upside to all this, none shooting is I did find some very nice roe deer tracks in the snow, so next time the bloody air gun can stay at home. and I will take the .243, of course I wont see any deer, and there will be woodies, squirrels everywhere
