It's a way of life for some, and the government wouldn't dare interfere, although some in government are heavily involved. It's the will of the people, so why can't our government allow us to do what we want, within reason ? Its an incredibly serious game over here,TV programs dedicated to it,the place were were in yesterday has TV cams recording the matches,magazines,shops,every village,town,and city has venues,theres a 3 day gamefowl exhibition in manila in january that attracts people from across the globe,loads of politicians have gamefowl farms,travel through manila and you see birds tethered at the roadside,its big,big business,I was in a ringside seat yesterday and saw the equivalent of thousands of pounds changing hands.

The Plakat is more of a Thailand thing i think....and from what im told no the money is not like the birds..........just go,s to show what mad gamblers they are in that part of the world as neither are what you could call exciting spectator sports are they
