zandy01 3,576
Maybe try and find some squatters or better still a myxi rabbit to give the pup some confidence and end the night on a high even if it's just one rabbit... Try and pick easy runs, if he's still only learning then he's gonna overshoot on turns etc, all part of his learning... Easy run/squatter which he catches and call it a night, that way he goes home with achievement and confidence - the last thing you want to do is ruin his confidence by not catching em... Only my thoughts and opinion though... Quote Link to post
slip lead 862
Give him time to lurn his trade, he hasn't seen much by the sounds of it (9 runs). Start judging him after 10 x that Good luck and don't forget Happy Hunting Quote Link to post

delboy_187 904
9 slips sure what you want . He'll judge his gears the more he out he's not anticipating the turn you see he don't know they can twist turn all directions . It will all come just give him time an the squatters in middle of field where he has a better chance . My mate has bitch that is an absolute jet to fast for rabbits over shoot them like an over steering lorry . She copped on. Quote Link to post

Any suggestions thanks It's all about the pup tuning himself in to the movement and where the bunnies ultimate aim is to be , in the safety of the hedge, dogs can't be taught to be hedge huggers overnight it's only through experience and graft, keep him at it, Quote Link to post
